nah i understand what you mean, i read the these chapters right after reading the manhwa "corrosive" and i think this manhwa artist did the scenes in a way that wouldn't shock the readers or but us off too much. i've read non-explicit rape scenes and implied ones that where really terrifying and upsetting, it's all in what the author wants to tell and how the rapists are represented.
but i guess the novel it's different and that's where people are coming from

no literally like all grape scenes are gruesome enough for me, and I've also read more "graphic" grape scenes and I don't even like to call it that cuz if someone is forcing themselves on a person for their own gratification they all skin crawling. if someone in the comments dropped this webtoon for it and said it made them nauseous that's completely justifiable. then again most grape bl scenes are just smut so if someone read it and took it as it is in that it's art that's fine too. but feeling that ppl are overacting over isn't your business why you tryna police ppl's reactions

It was not overhyped because it was wayyyyy worse in the novel, it seems like the author chose to tone it down in the visuals tho. Even though all of is gruesome

of course. I wouldn't wish that on anyone but in the context of these mangas/manhwas that constantly use it in their stories, there are waaay worse scenes like in Liebling. I don't mean to say that what happened to him wasn't horrible, I just mean that as far as manga rapes go, this one was tame because I believe someone said that the novel version was way worse and that the artist chose toned it down considerably.

Actually, from having read the novel, I still don't understand the people that were saying it was tamed down in the manhwa, it's literally the same scenes - but I get what sugarplum meant too, in a weird way the rape scenes (manhwa and novel) aren't as bad as people made them out to be. Yes, rape is rape and all but there is some reaaaaaally gruesome shit going on around here and this is pretty mild to be honest, especially since Taekjoo had to went through a lot of murder attempts before that and a lot of other shit

nahhh. you should read the novel. it's depicted way worse. and maybe because there are so many worse scenes in the next arc. but maybe some won't call it the worst. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Not judging but ur insane. The grape was HORRIFIC. Saying that the scenes weren’t bad to you idk man but I don’t think that’s normal … grape should never feel okay to one and the badness of the scenes were definitely not over dramatized.

I never said it was okay, in fact I keep repeating that it isn't twice now. I just said that compared to other rapes we see on this site, especially in yaoi, where the uke gets ripped apart and beaten and there's blood everywhere, it wasn't as horrific as people were making it out to be. Now I know that other people read the novel and have told me that its way worse and a lot of things weren't shown but that doesn't mean I think what happened to taekjoo wasn't traumatizing. Its horrible what happened to him but this is my opinion, I know people have a different tolerance to stuff like this but compared to other stories on here, I just thought that it wasn't as horrific as people were making it out to be.
