the start of this chapter gave me chills. heartbroken. reached violently and unapologetically into my core and dug up the things i have been refusing to process but regardless this is my fave ongoing manhwa. it is perfect to me. can we all appreciate how doyak-nim has written a suspenseful noir esque plot while still being incredibly realistic and genuine with their characters and themes. ian is such an important character and we need more of characters like him in bl and in stories in general!! doyak-nim has treated the topics of addiction and sexual abuse and how they go hand in hand with compassion and care - something that is rare in most media. as someone who can relate to ian for what he has gone through please think before you type your misinformed hate comment to his character he isnt a ‘perfect victim’ and just because you are used to reading stories with the same tropes that lack research and authenticity do not be mad when an author writes a victim with realistic reactions!! doyak-nim will always be queen in my eyes for creating ian - a character who makes me feel seen :)
