I see where you're coming from but you have to keep in mind that this author has worked on multiple series throughout their time making this.They have even made a a very long, multi volume series Awkward silence (Bukiyou na Silent) and still managed to work on this. Also they have health issues if I'm not mistaken. Besides plenty of stories are like that: hunter x hunter, one punch man, mha ect where not much time has elapsed in the story
The flow of time for this manga is absolutely awful. What might have been like 2 years for the characters has literally been 20 years for us. That's just. Awful.
