Yeah, she developed yeast a few chapters back. I remember she puts some berries in boiling(?) water so that the yeast would float on top before she proceeded to make flour.
Wheat has been a staple crop in Japan since at least the Yayoi period and Sengoku era is far beyond that.
Millet and buckwheat were far more common in people's plate than rice and wheat but wheat has been spread to Japan by China way long before common era.
It's been a while since I've read this. How did she make the pizza dough tho??? Idk if flour existed way back then, was wheat already introduced to Japan in this era????????
