i know that the whole rape to love thing is such a horrible trope but im honestly feels a little happy reading how taeju seems to genuinely want to redeem himself. also im glad euihyun doesn't immediately accept and forgive him either, he even still give taeju a hard time as usual lol. this is not how a lot of "rape to love" manhwa usually take so i really like this

and i feel like the reason taeju can even have this amount of consciences is because he still has a good family which not a lot of toxic manhwa can say about their ml

Tbh i feel like the whole rape scene could have just been left out and the story wouldn't have changed that much, he could have been a asshole in other ways. Sucks this lazy trope has made it's way in stories that would be great otherwise

Yes!!!! I 100% agree. There’s so many ways that a writer can portray a flawed character other than using that trope. It’s honestly just lazy writing. Rape… get pregnant… forgive the rapist and fall in love with them because of the kid/paid debt/learns how to act nice. It is beyond lame.
