it is fully the father's fault all along. for the brothers, their father too neglecting them, so their step grandma had to raise them then over the time brainwashing them so they would never ever have a thought that someone so kind like her would abuse their sister. the evil one is the grandma, but the one that open up the way for the evil to come is the father who thinks nothing but himself.
i agree, but tbh i bet if the step-mom and her kids never entered the family, the og!MC wouldn't have killed herself or had such a horrible inferiority complex. i also think with the brothers, when they were kids and living with the step-mom, she probably didn't outright abuse the girl and only isolated her, and the brothers were too young to see that and the girl was too young to understand she was being neglected. i think all the outright abuse, cruelty, and punishment came after they left the house, and by that point the staff were all under the mom's control, and MC wouldn't have known she deserves a chance to speak up for herself due to her low self-worth. bc technically the brothers were children too, so they're not responsible to be adults of the household or to know any better, and once they left, they rlly couldn't have known anything going on in the house due to the mom's control over all the staff. but i agree that it's definitely the dad's absolute apathy towards everything going on in the household that led to this dysfunction, but imo og!MC would still be alive if not for the step-mom. she might've been neglected by her dad regardless, but without the mom she would've had a closer and tighter bond with her brothers, as well as grew up without all the insecurities, suicidal thoughts, and health issues that came from the abuse the step-mom + her kids gave her. i also suspect without the step-mom's interference, the dad probably would've been way more connected with his children as the only parent in the household, as he really abandoned them and himself underneath the pretense that someone else was going to raise them. ofc, regardless, he shouldn't have ever abandoned his children in the first place, and there's no excuse for that.
Honestly I don’t forgive the family. Yes the father lost his wife and everything but wtf he drank his pain away. Not even thinking about what his kids would go through. Also the only way he thought she was “happy” was due to the fact of how she seemed. He never ask how she was doing or question anything and just let the stepmother raise her. He never had any of his workers keep track of how she’s doing or anything. He never even held a conversation with her longer than 5 min. Honestly, he’s the reason she died. Like if he really just check up on her and have been in her life ect, she probably wouldn’t have had to be in so much pain and abuse. Yes he wasn’t shitty to her but he was NEGLECTFUL towards her and never seem to care about her enough to quit drinking. He just drowned himself in liquor. Now for the brothers, idk how to feel abt them. Like why tf did they ever figure out she was getting abused? Couldn’t they have left a sky or wtf to leave reports on how she’s being treated? Didn’t they hear the rumors going around abt there younger sister? Did they ever asked or took time out of their day to fully talk to her? I know they love her but I feel that they think seeing her once and a while in enough. Which isn’t, they seemed to never ask her what was happening or asked around or anything. Overall, her family failed her. I see it as their the reason she died. Their actions lead to her death in my OPINION.
