Did I miss something?

Even after finishing it I'm confused. Niko was able to kill that girl whose name I can never remember because he used her BDD against her, but how did he know she was trans in the first place? She only revealed it to the MC and his girlfriend (seriously, I can remember the names of virtually no one in this series). Did he overhear them or something? She passes, so he shouldn't have been able to tell. That's a pretty big detail they skipped over. Did I miss something here, or is that just a gaping plot hole the mangaka left open?

i did give you the chapter that you asked for. I even said "seeing is a proof". Surely niko wouldn't know until he cut the clothes but you're probably thinking "how did he know to cut the clothes". its more lik... ChibiMichie

Nope. Doesn't make sense. You're not allowed to physically harm anyone. He'd have no reason to cut off her clothing.

The psychiatrist wouldn't have any means of knowing, either.

I'm not saying the series wasn't good (though I think Dolls Code was better). I'm just saying that it wasn't all thought through well. It seemed very rushed. LessThanThree

didn't say it wasn't good either. I was satisfied though rushed. If it wasn't,i pretty much think it'd be game over for all participants. sometimes good end isn't that bad.

You're not allowed to physically harm people. If what you're saying is right, that would mean his plan was to cut her clothes open (perhaps for the sake of humiliation) and smash the doll. That wouldn't be enough to kill her from the anxiety. He had no reaction when he found that she had a flat chest. He knew she was trans from the get-go, and that makes no sense. If he didn't, and what you are saying is right (which I doubt), then it was extremely sloppy writing on the mangaka's part for expecting us to fill in the gaps like that.
Additionally, the psychiatrist wouldn't be able to tell she's trans either.
We'll just agree to disagree. Me and Anon think there's a gaping plot hole, you don't.

I'm pretty sure I've left a reply, like, three times, but for some reason it isn't showing up, soooo this is a test comment.

I didn't read all the replies, so I don't know if someone mentioned this...but from what I could tell Niko didn't know she was trans. He was ripping up her clothes to sexually harass and/or rape her, but then of course discovered she had a male body. So she's either a cross-dresser or trans, and being trans is the more likely of the two. Cutting her hair was also probably part of his original plans to harass her because trans or not, many women place pride in their hair, especially if it's long (since it takes time to grow it). Her being trans just made her importance towards her hair that much more mentally distressing to lose it. My point is, even if she wasn't trans he still would have tried to sexually harass her and damage her possessions like her clothes, hair, doll etc.

Damn, why am I just NOW receiving a notification for this?
Anyway, proof means that there was originally a reason to believe that she was trans. There was no reason. That is the flaw here.
