If we're going based off your ice cream analogy: you may like icecream but everyone gets full. A few scoops is delicious but if the author keeps on scooping out more icecream it starts melting too fast and becomes less enjoyable the more you eat.
Author should've wrapped it up once the kids were safe and the blonde hair dude was no longer a threat. Now there's nothing pushing the story forward or making the plot compelling. It's great to see the kids grow up but that could've been a time skip in a single episode. It's just boring with not much substance or drive to keep readers interested.
I'm sorry everyone, I still don't get it
Whether it's called "side" stories or "extras", if it's well written and well done, I really don't see the issue with having more
With the ice cream analogy I could kinda understand, but still, I was relating to the fact that usually when you like something, you don't find it bad when you get more of it
And even if you're "full" right now, you can set it aside and have at it later
But that's just my opinion, not trying to be an ass or anything
It just really puzzled me that people were complaining
I don't get it
If you like the story, why would you complain the extras are too long?
It's like if love ice cream, you're bummed bc you just finished the last pot, then you find more ice cream tucked out in the freezer and instead of being happy, you say "ugh I why is there so much ice cream?"
Like what? ( ̄∇ ̄")
