why are these people just casually asking for tickets like that? what happened to shame??? even if they want to buy it at a significantly higher price but it's still mannerless to just ask for somebody's possessions like that… many will feel pressured and end up giving away their stuffs unwillingly just to avoid saying no and potential confrontation… smh i really hate it when people put others in a tight spot like this it’s so mannerless and stupid

You never went to a concert, right? It's totally normal that there are people in front of the venue who sell tickets cuz the other party couldn't come. It's also totally normal to talk to people who are waiting if they have tickets they want to sell. It's called conversation and has nothing to do with shame.

Nah it’s quite normal to do this… also it’s a waste of ticket if the person is late and not responding.

i’ve been to kpop concerts before, but is it typical to ask someone you know (worse, your upperclassmen) for their tickets even though it’s obvious that it’s for someone else? i feel like you're missing out on the context of my comment

that being said, be careful of buying tickets at the venue because often times it’s a scam/scalper

I guess you should read this chapter again, these two don't really know him, and it wasn't obvious (for the characters, for us readers it was obvious) that these are for some else.

No mostly it's just a black market price but that is just give and take. It's everywhere and some people just want to sell the ticket bc their partner couldn't go with them. So the price for the ticket is even halved.

dude, at this point we just have to agree that this might be a cultural barrier cause no way i will ever think that it is LOGICAL to come up to someone (whether you know them, you don’t, you partially know them or your mother knows them) and just go “hey, you don’t need those tickets anyway right? just sell it to us! come on!" when they’re so visibly hesitant (which he was in this case/chapter) about it like that’s just rude to me i’m so sorry like read the room

It is logical… because they were late to the show so they assumed he wasn’t going. So they asked.
