that's just his way of being liked by people. Please don't make it out to be toxic. It's actually because his actions stem from his childhood trauma. He isn't loved so he's seeking love from everyone else even if it's empty. It's not harmful to people, infact, it is only harmful to himself, because he knows it doesn't make a genuine connection, only trivial ones.
You seem young so I understand that you can't see the full picture yet.
