It might be also because it contains heavy elements (eg. se*ual assault, stalking, obsession, assault, torture, house containment, su*cide… etc.) and also some intimate scenes. s2 might have more smut tho bc they will be adults then. In s1 there were some scenes but they were minimal and they didn't go all the way.
I meant season 3 lol, forgot we are already on s2.
i haven't read this but its marked as mature on legal sites but it doesn't look like it... i'm either confused or just wrong
