Karen isn't annoying but rather interesting

Fuck no. It's because I've read those that it makes this worse. Those others we know from the start they are almost useless and are there just for the fanservice or as ego booster for the mc. Then they show karen. Loyal, strong, cool, dressed as a proper knight and with a decent reason to go with mc. We expected to see her being a decent female character, finally, a female character that is normal! Dressed as a normal knight and not annoying and in love with mc. A strong attacker that would help balance the party.
But what we got? Annoying, spoiled, dumb, talkative, and keep picking fights. Wearing stupid clothes that don't match where she's going nor her role in the party. The 180° from before and after entering the party came like a slap in the face and made her existence 2x more aggravating.

Cute? Nah Koopa is 10kx cuter than her. She is useful, but I rather he had her unsummoned most of the time than having to read the dumb things she says. Her being useful doesn't take from how annoying she is. If she was a guy with the same annoying behavior would you still defend her and call her cute?

Sorry if it came out a big aggressive... it's just... the disappointment was so big it angers me... I get she being nerfed going from boss to summon. It's the personality change that bothered me more.

As a woman some things slowly build up the annoyance while reading. And female clothing in fantasy/isekai is one of them. It doesn't bothers guys too much because besides the fanservice... they don't know how uncomfortable they are. It's like going around on a zombie apocalypse in tube top micro dress and stilettos... it just... doesn't make sense... and seeing it again and again and again... at some point it gets hard to ignore.
And I lost count of the times the girls are describes as strong, inteligent, badass, and capable... and turn out dumb, meek and clumsy and having to depend on guys all the time. And whe we do get a strong and powerful woman... is as side character that doesn't apper much. Heck even female mc's are subpar compared with male counterparts.
We get an mc that lived a fckd up life and regressed to the past. The guy will get strong in secret and get revenge. The gal... will have to play nice to convice people to like her... and the revenge becomes the lowest priority as soon as she meets the ml... and 70% of the revenge is his doing. And dont even get me started on "adult comics" intended to women... there's so much harassment and assault there that I gave up. Even if bl have those too... at least I don't need to see another woman go through it. And most of them have better romance anyway.

Lmao, my girl, you’ve been reading the WRONG stuff. I’ve read a bunch of fantasy mangas with a strong, badass, verifiably-will-get-on-my-knees for them, intelligent, fcking awesome female mc’s. Change your books and you’ll find them lol. Still gotta agree with everything else you said tho, it gets so damn tiring

Ugh... I get it... there are some real good female mc's out there. But those are a different genre usually. We only got some action comics female mc relatively recently. And it does piss me off when author describes her as everything you just said but... she's not. You know what I mean don't you? The ones that get nerfed as soon as they transmigrate or meet the ml...
But yeah... my main problem is that I usually like the plot of these genres... and how the mcs have a clear objective... but when you see the difference between male and female side characters... it's hard to not think "WTF?"... like... just look at Karuna and Karen's clothes... her top on last chapter... her back is more covered than her chest... I was wondering if it was a top or a danm bikini at that point.

But honestly tho... even the strong female mc ones... the authors go way too heavy on the romance. To the point Idek anymore if im reading action or romance... even the recent modern dungeon ones with female mc... the romance and presence of ml are heavy and even if they are S-class ot top rankers... then the mc is like a constelation or adm or SS-clas or anything tronger than her... Revenge? Saving the world? No matter their objective the ml will help her get there.

On anothe note, the female extras/love interests of trash of counts house, great estate developer and the extra is too strong are definitely well made to the point of happy tears... cool, strong, powerful and beautiful without the need to be almost half naked all the time.

I was about to reply to OP but you just said everything I wanted to say far better than I could have. EXACTLY! I've read and enjoyed stories with much worse female characters, but what makes this so bad is the fact that I had great expectations after we first met her, and I though she would be this cool and badass knight with a personality a bit like her brother, but then it's like she turned into a completely different character overnight. I mean I shouldn't have assumed, but the way she was first presented made me think that way

I love it when people have civil discussions in the comments of any site/app even though they have different opinions, but for some reason it's so rare. This is awesome!
