I am still reading the novel but I can say that it seems all the dominant alphas are unhinged Chase seems to have some emotional baggage but havent read that much yet. Also him and Grayson being brothers explains why Cecil looks so much like Grayson...

Oh I wont lie I love the trope of "manwhore becomes loyal" trope (well sorta like Keith lol), so I would take it anyway, whether it was Grayson or Chase. However Chase is another problem in itself so its refreshing

I wont give any spoilers but as far as I have read he makes Keith seem level headed and reasonable in comparison

Sure! I’ll tell you some details (Sorry for the long rant, i really love them )

All the novel is based on how Josh tries to get together with Chase again but making it kinda slow burn (?) since indeed both of them feel attraction, just Chase is HELLA traumatized and Josh is in denial but at the same time he’s razonable with the situation, so Josh is like a comfort person for the crazy Chase.

Based on that, Josh did run away when he discovered he was pregnant with Pete, and that’s something Chase calls off later, since the whole situation happened while Chase was on his rut, and Grayson used this as a way to traumatize him, kinda developing a story that never happened (Chase sleeping with a dog, which explains why he’s scared of them) and since Chase’s memory was blurry, he didn’t doubt what Grayson said to him.

Also Chase’s trauma explains a lot why even though he is attracted to Josh, he doesn’t show it or he becomes aggressive (lol) against him, so I would say he really cares about Josh, just his trashy personality makes him look (and act) bad .

If you’re interested about how chase reacted when he discovered he was Petes dad, well he was happy that at least Josh didn’t have a child with someone that wasn’t him, but at the same time he was scared, he didn’t know how to act with Pete, Josh even planned to have them to meet alone, so Chase rented a whole ass mall, and at some point Pete ran off to a pet shop, where there were dogs, and since Chase fears them, he passed out, then Josh appears and they start to talk how they will overcome things slowly and together, since Chase was in a rush to be perfect for Pete :(, so you can tell that even if Chase is presented like crazy or bad tempered, he has a soft spot for the things loves, he would to anything for Josh and their kids.

and well, if you’re curious about Cecil and their third child, I have no idea if they have more extras, since the one that I read didn’t mention them, as far as I know it is mentioned in Kiss me liar extras, where they present Cecil and Josh pregnant (I think so )
