Another one is because the timeline that mc got back at to was is in his childhood, and mc instantly meet ml when he was just a child, if the ml is sane, he will not date the mc adult or not. That will be called grooming if he date the mc, unless the mc stop meeting the ml and just will meet him in 10 years where he is an adult.
now i really feel bad for the author atp lmaooo TT the story is so well written. but the issues that should've been focused on more were overlooked because of 'age gap' and supposed 'grooming' XD like when did that happen? ml fell in love with 11 year old kid version of mc? yah must be reading with your eyes closed.

And i think you're the one reading eyes closed, the mc said that he will make the ml safe in ten years and he will stay at his side and by that means he has an intention to make the ml fall in love with him and the thing i dont like is if ml fall in love with mc throughout that 10 years and then date him when he is adult, thats actually called grooming.
Plus even if mc is 22 years old mentally, in ml's eyes he is just a 11 years old so it will be super super weird if he fall in love with mc knowing the age gap of them and mc being a literal child. Like i get it, in 10years from now they are now finally consulting adults but that doesnt change that ml watched or even guided the mc throughout the 10 years.

grooming does not apply in this situation at all. the ml has never had any inappropriate intentions towards the younger mc, not now and not in the future. even if he does eventually fall in love with the adult mc in the future, it's not grooming because the ml didn't do anything to foster a romantic relationship with the mc when he is currently this young kid.
