Maybe their situation just like Jihwan and Sooyoung, meeting in the school/university, falling in love, after some happy time, the guy became obsessed, the woman wanted to leave, he used her debt to convenient marriage, telling her she can leave after a son but never have any intention to release her.

I wonder if jiwhan really knows how much he’s similar to his father. Yes, you didn’t drive sooyoung to suicide like your father did to your mother, however, both you and your father seem to love your lover TOO much which leads to obsession.
Another thing is that both jiwhan and his father won’t admit to their flaws and think what they did was right.
I really want to see jiwhan’s father and mother story bc I wonder what triggered the mother to have a mental breakdown and help captive in her house. Plus she did say in the earlier chapters that the father promised to let her go if she gave birth to jiwhan (which didn’t happen).
