Normally I don’t read the novels from manhwas but since there’s an official translation (in English) I figured I’d give it a try and oh man. Not even done with the first book but it’s very good. The atmosphere and vibes are different than in the manhwa because you’re not getting cute chibis or pretty eyes in every scene (not that I mind lol). It forces you to focus on what’s at stake and sometimes I forget this is even a romance because I’m so invested in An Zhe’s goal (and his survival). Of course the novel adds more to scenes, not much, but enough to where it really pulls you in and has you connecting to the characters and environment. The artist of this manhwa definitely does the novel justice so if you love the story so far please read the novel!
