Let's not forget that he had irrefutable evidence that she was the murderer on top of corruption and whatnot while being in the police force. He coulda locked her ass up instead of doing what he did to Heeseo KNOWING DAMN WELL that while he was living a happy life with his foster family Heeseo was suffering from abuse and suicidal tendencies after witnessing his mother burn to a fucking crisp.

"Kidnapping and rape apologists" when Heeseo suffered so much and was never afforded the professional care he needed 'cause no one around him was adult enough to actually do anything for him. Even after Taekyung learned that Heeseo was being abused by his foster family and that he was extremely suicidal he pretended it had nothing to do with him so long as he tossed money at the problem to make it go away.

Heeseo is the way he is 'cause he watched the only adult in his life that loved him burn to death, his foster family heinously abused him and stole things from him and then when he finally thought he had found someone to trust he finds out that the mothefucker covered for the woman that murdered his mother in cold blood and is rotten to her fucking core.
