The author said that they researched personality disorders and don't want to put a name on it to avoid spreading misinformation bc they're not an expert so it's just a generalized disability. But as an autistic person I felt that the things he said about learning to understand when people are feeling emotions but not being able to understand why or empathize was very relatable. Cause like the mom said he does feel emotions just smaller and slower than others and that causes issues is so real to me.
