It's missing Aster 's explanation about her transition from the 1st to 2nd life. Also confirmation if her husband remembers being her husband now. And what happened to him after they became adults. It seems like the story was hinting they were going to get together again, this time with love maybe then... Nothing. We were left hanging
True... Many things were just implyed and left open.. Like the grandma's possible love story with her friend and Aster's 3rd timeline love life with Killian... Maybe the author thought it was dragging too much and wanted to give it an end there, leaving the rest to our imagination... Tho I admit the time skip was a bit too unexpected... But still this was a well written ending that made me cry, it's just like they skipped 2 chapters and went straight to the final one...
