From what I read in some spoilers… she will never say I love you to him and will die without saying it. Because she should not give her heart to the king. And the king will always put duty first before loved ones as his grandfather asked him too. It’s a bit tragic. Sometimes I wish the manga would be different than the novel on this, but it is what it is.
I wouldt tell this guy I loved him either. Given his entire set of issues and attitudes, allowing yourself to fall in love with such a person will just slowly grind your soul down, never being loved back the way you deserve.
The only thing you can do is be pragmatic. And you dont drop the L-word on someone whose affection for you, you always have to pragmatically contextualize.
There are luckily a couple mangas with effectively the same plot who take a more wish fulfillment approach to the relatioship dynamic and ending.
I think it’s still more tragic than that..I remember someone saying she will say something before dying or she’ll leave a letter to him saying that in their next life, if he sees her to ignore her and let her be free. They both love each other, they were just not meant to be together. He has duties to attend and his priority must remain the first princess who is infertile, on the other hand she dreamed about having a family and she will see every single one of her kids die in front of her… it’s just a tragic story :/
It said she can't say the words "I love you" to his majesty. Why? Is there a reason behind this? Is it spoiler? Pls put spoiler if it is...
