Mizumoto vs. Black-haired HS Pretty Boy

i think its almost 50/50
there are a lot of ppl who like mizu and a lot of ppl who like hatano too

So I have super bad name memory, but I have three characters that come to mind as potential partners - childhood flag/pretty HS boy, mangaka, and mind-reader.

Mangaka is,, meh, I can and can't see it. I feel like the wall to that comes down to reactions to the truth of this world (which the mangaka would probably gladly enjoy, so wouldn't necessarily be the best outcome).

Mind-reader is fun, and I can see it happening, but I also would like it if the two just became friends. It could also be a friends to lovers trope, with him first not believing MC to believing him, and oops who knew now there are feelings that can't be controlled what to do now ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Pretty HS boy I can see happening, I think their age difference is only a few years which isn't bad at all when they're both adults. If the HS boy waits until he's in college before fully approaching MC, I'm honestly all aboard. I find it funny that he's been avoiding all the flags so well yet there's one he can do nothing about, all because it happened in his childhood. In a way, it could be called destiny if he ends up catching feelings despite all that and despite everything he knows, since feelings are something that we can't control.

Sorry if i remember wrong/I missed someone, these just are the ones that come to mind. I'm happy wherever the story goes, I can see all of them happening so I'm trying not to be biased towards one side, although I do see the HS boy as the most likely one.

I don't know lol, I just vaguely remember people talking about that potential when he first appeared. I don't really see it tho, I just put it since it came to mind :'D

anyways me personally i like hatano better bc hes really pretty but because hes a high schooler and mc is a college student it just makes me uncomfortable it can work out once he becomes an adult though

I agree!! It makes me wonder their age differences... so I looked up stuff from google just in case, since educational things differ between countries. (Take it with a grain of salt since i just quickly looked these up)

We know MC is 20 or older, as that is the legal drinking age in Japan. His maturity could suggest older, but imo that doesn't seem to play a part in age when it comes to these stories. So, I'd say 20-21.

You graduate HS at the age of 18 in Japan, so we know HS boy is younger than that. He could be 17, but knowing what age tends to get used in these stories + I don't think they're in their senior year yet, he's more likely to be 16. So, I'd say 16-17 for him.

So I'd guess their age difference is roughly 5 years at most and 3 years at the least. It def wouldn't work until HS boy is in college since they'll both be adults then (and even here there is a difference between the younger person being the one who pursues the older one), and age gaps aren't as big of a deal after a certain point in your age. I def can't see anything happening before that though, I have hopes they wouldn't be dumb about it :')
