It's called a neutral feelings relationship. Far alike from what we're used to seeing in a romantic relationship especially in romance categorized fiction. I guess you could just say that's just what makes their relationship different.

I actually love this. It's funny and all, but I feel like it's lacking something. They act like they're in a relationship but also act like they're not you know what I mean? But I like this its funny
