There's a difference between supporting and being a fujoshi. For example, a mother supporting her gay son wouldn't be fetishizing his relationships and potential sex partners. I lived in Japan for a while and trust me that there's a massive difference. I knew fudanshis who outright hated real life gay men, I knew fujoshis who were only in it for the fantasies, and I knew people who supported LGBT people but didn't like BL for it's fetishing of gay men.
