Yess, what they should've done was just make it their story and then make it into a tragedy where he dies at the end. You don't see those like ever and would really be a shake to the BL community. I can already imagine the people going crazy in the comments if they did it that way. I'm just a sucker for some seriously sad BL I want it to destroy me

I read that and I remember feeling sad at the end, so I won't read it again, but I've read so much since then I can't remember. There was one where they had gotten together in highschool or early 20s but they were to scared to take the leap, so they broke it off. Met again when they were both married and wanted to run off together but they thought that it was too late or that they were too old for that, so they cried to each other and went their separate ways. That one really fucked me up, I think I read it when I first started reading bl back in 2016. I don't remember the name but damn it scarred me.
