Well, the cross dresser high school boy was a sadistic type, so I was daunted by that; but the older man I could understand... Feeling useless, hopeless, and unwanted - but since he reached out then, that means he still had some life in him then; until he was fired.
He felt like there as no reason for his existence anymore.
The high schooler perhaps spoke meanly because there he could relieve stress and say stuff he could not say, or act the way he could not.
I understand that he was stifled by pressures and expectations, we all feel that at one point or another... But I wish he told the old man straight that he loves him and tried being a little more nicer to him.
