Having a girl mc doesn’t make a manga not a shounen. Promised Neverland has a girl mc and it was serialized as a shounen. It just refers to that the audience is generally young boys, not necessarily that the mc is a boy
Shounen means that the target audience are young boys and teens not meaning that the mc has to be a boy.
I'm confused is the MC a boy or a girl they kept calling the MC she but the genre says shounen it means young boy so confusing
