I'm not gonna lie, ML gets on my nerves when it comes to the child, he makes it seems like a competition with the kid and gets annoyed when the Mc is genuinely worried. I understand feeling awkward with the kid and not having a connection yet but damn wanting his dad to yourself while reacting this way towards the kid is much. Idk that's just how I feel tho maybe he'll come around later on eventually and realize the kid is just as important as the Mc
