personally, i think so. i think the pacing and development makes sense for our MC, especially now that he's in a world where magic has drastically progressed over the past couple centuries. i also think MC's goals are pretty reasonable yet larger than something short-term, so it's interesting to see what'll happen along the way as he makes his way towards them.
