I just hate when things are changed in translations.
Don't agree with "this crap" in reference to trans people, but it also irritates me when they overcorrect translations.

If you’re gonna be transphobic.. at least learn that it’s not “prounounce”. It’s “pronouns” and you use it in every day speech. Pronouns are in every language in the world and they have pronouns that are unisex and some that are plural. Also, “assigned” could be in reference to intersex people or hermaphroditism which is people with BOTH XX and XY chromosomes so they are both male and female at birth. The “assigned” part means that the parents chose a gender for the child and raised that child believing they are that gender despite having the parts to be both. Maybe be a little more worldly and educated and then you won’t find it so annoying that you’re behind the rest of the world.

Maybe English isn't your first language or you're purposely being agregious, however, in English people are not "things" or "it." You're supposed to use gender neutral language such as "they, them, theirs" and it has nothing to do with how someone identifies it's simply proper English. You're correct they did insult you so I'm guessing you're simply using that language to insult them.

My only question is though, how do you know it's a bad translation? You're stating it as fact, you said you don't speak Japanese so do you truly know that it is a bad translation or is it simply your bias? In my opinion within the context of the story it did feel out of place since nothing was mentioned about it in any other chapter, however, the other characters aren't really fleshed out so in order to truly know what the author said we'd need access to the raws and a really good dictionary (I don't Japanese either).

Yes, English is not my first language, and yes, I deliberately referred to the Queen as a "thing" because I have no respect for nonsense and people who create even more nonsensical people. And as I said: this transgender trend wasn't even the topic here. "It" simply made it the topic because that's what they do. Regarding the translation part: I'm not perfect at it yet, but I can already somewhat read Japanese. In several other mangas, translators have made a non-trans character trans in this way. I haven't bought the raws of this chapter yet, but I can already tell you 100% that it wasn't in there and most readers who still think normally know that too.
i was with you until the "the parents chose a gender for the child" how should it work then? the parents aren't CHOOSING the gender its the literal biologial sex you have youre either male or female, because that is your SEX, you can later on choose if you wanna be a trans woman or trans man, saying parents should let a CHILD choose their gender is just crazy
they were talking about the people who are born with both genders. the parents end up “choosing” one gender and raise them like that.
"I was assigned male at birth"... now this crap is ruining manga too because im 100% sure he said "I told him that im a man". Just makes me wanna learn japanese even more...
