Exactly I had to read it twice to make sure it wasn’t an error or something because usually it “ wants to make their life easier” so the MC can end up liking them more or making the MC more dependent on the ML. But NOPE. Making it harder is crazy Ik it’s gonna be interesting but also break my heart.
