Endless future? Does that mean both are immortal?

I was left confused with that as well. Cuz they went through all that shit to revert her back from being a vampire and immortal.

I guess the author really did mean it when they said they'll leave their future to the imagination of the readers. With that "endless" they perhaps wanted to nudge us to believe that the fl did decide to become a vampire after all? But this time on her own accord and out of her own decision.
