actually i already forgot about this one ahah,but the one thing im sure of is the fact that claudes mom running away with her lover (which is the brother of claudes current father)** i may be about his mom lovers identity. AND YESSS they have a daughter together and live happily in other place.
seriously im gonna be mad if the plot suddenly make claude mother reappear to ask money to save her daughter or smthg like that. (like the plot of weightlifting fairy kim bok joo) (whereas the ml mother abandoned him and running away to overseas, just for her to return to korea to ask money for her daughters surgery from ml adoptive parents) im gonna flip the table (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
update i reread it yess, Claude's mom married to her lovers older brother which is the current duke. But claude is the child of his mother and her mothers lover (which is dukes younger brother). so in order for her and duke younger's brother to leave the country, they decide to ditch claude as the duke household need a heir. EVEN THO CLAUDE IS THEIR CHILD! what a selfish human being (︶︿︶)＝凸 idc if its said that claudes just following the novel storyline, but its being proved that the storyline doesn't matter as it can be changed
