I dont even want to mention how sad and lonely he was. Just by seeing his wife's diary and recounting the days he spent with her had him so miserable. As much as I love Legis and want him to live, seeing how he is during the latest chapters is so gut wrenching. He'll be alone for a long long time due to his ascended status in that lonely and quiet mansion of his. Her heart pities him so so much.

Yeah I kind of feel the same especially cause the father is my favourite character and cause this part makes me cry to much it doesn't feel like a happy ending, it would be better if he dies, then we see him in heaven with is deceased wife beeing happy end having the daughter having like a sign from got that makes her understand that her parents are happy to finally be together

I think he’s still living for his grandchildren and his daughter that’s the only reason why he’s not gonna die on purpose I feel like if is on the verge of death he will just accept it and not fight it ykwm

Tbh, I don't like the ending because honestly? Seeing how Legis so depressed and lonely in that huge mansion with noone but his own thoughts are haunting. I kinda feel like he needs death...? So that he can be with amelia and live his happily ever after with the person he loves and misses so desperately. As fucked up as it sounds. The empire has been saved, the dragon has been slayed and his precious daughter is happy with her own little family with someone of the same ascended status as him. He has no motivation to keep on living now that all he ever wanted has been achieved. After being tormented for so long, he deserves some peace. Not peace as in peace and quiet. Peace as in putting his heart to rest. Ygwim?
