In early chapter, author showed yoen's thomb so he probably died which caused vince to be extremely depressed. Mc probably in coma due to head injury.
Yep, that seems to me the most possible theory. Esp about how the mc being in a coma and his soul separating in two may have led to him being “half” dead.
