At first i was so sre Kaya was the main lead and she'd eventually leave Nasu but now it feels like they're really going in the direction of Haru setting up actual boundaries around Kaya to go for what she wants. She still cares about Kaya but tbh it really hasnt ever felt romantic, and even from Kaya it doesn't feel like he wants her romantically?? It feels more like thats the only way he knows how to keep her around and he's so desperate to have someone with him. The concept of family has never been something tangible to him so that doesn't work, but I think that's what he also really wants deep down. What he needs more than anything else is to tackle his trauma around abandonment and not to fill it in with just Haru.
