Tbh, I’m quite disappointed how brushed off this was. No one suffered any consequences whatsoever for literally WAGING A WAR on their own people FOR THE SAKE OF POWER????
I do think ML is the greenest forest, but I’m incredibly disappointed in him about that. A good emperor shouldn’t overlook things like this. Overall, Giles having a good ending, not paying for any of his numerous crimes, after SO, SO MANY things he did, it’s just really… unfair. I expected more from Carlyle, he’s one of the best MLs I’ve read about, but that part just really doesn’t sit well with me.
