He just blabbering his mouth like its what matter the most. After hearing it, MC's mind wandering to insignificant things around him then stated he feel so tired. Later he spoke for himself that he didn't know about the money and stand for himself. He showed mature persona as someone who's older than them all. But that truth still bring a mental burden for him. Around 10 chapters after this will be the rocky time of their relationship. But from it they learn and grow well as a couple. I like it how it didn't take cliche route.

Simply put, MC was depressed.

All the things ML did for him, especially the money, made him felt more burdened. He then felt numb. He felt he was so useless and blamed himself. ML who was clingy to him started to notice MC's distance too. Then MC got a call from home, MC looks happy for the first time when he talked about his dog. ML and MC went back to MC's hometown. There ML tell MC was actually homesick because MC become lively there. They also made a promise to come back and live better after this. But, MC's father suggested MC to come back home. I guess the parents really worried about MC. When MC & ML come back, MC told ML that he'll move back into his parents. ML took it as MC abandoned him despite MC said they can LDR. MC still go in the end and ML was devastated. However, MC didn't take the train back home, he stayed and released how important their relationship is. MC went back to their apartment complex and tried to reach ML, but ML never response. ML already went to a hotel and drunk himself. He turn off his phone because he afraid MC will send him back the money which for him, means MC didn't want anything to do with him, like cutting ties. This make MC can't reach ML either. MC stayed and rent the cheapest room because his rent in their apartment already due. MC kept trying to reach ML and stayed in front of his door while deeply thinking about their relationship. It make MC further understand his wants and how special ML for him. Meanwhile, ML wasting himself in alcohol until one of his friend able to reach him and went to his hotel. (About this, the two friends of ML worried about him and seem genuine about their friendship. There's a funny scene where the two of them got into a little fight in front of ML's). The short haired guy talked with ML and able to convince him to properly face MC. ML unblock MC's contact. ML soon connected to MC who was in the ER. He got injured for a car crash when crossing the road. ML immediately come to him in slippers without properly warm himself. It was a winter, MC can see ML truly worried by ML's appearance. They then hug and told each other about their grievance and apologize to each other.

Glasses guy gonna act like a jerk in next chapter. He belittle MC for his preparation of Civil Servant test. Boyfriend immediately come to the rescue and MC handle it maturely. Glasses guy thought MC has no common sense to receive all the gift (clothes, money, etc) just like that. He kinda has impression MC is a gold digger. Ofc, MC heard it all. Poor baby shown sign of depression. But he's no damsel in distress. He stands for himself.
