Majority of the collapse were rocks so there’s a possibility they can fall in angles and create space for them. They will definitely be injured but they can survive a rockslide. It happens all the time in earthquake prone countries
Yeah if we are talking reality...but in some stories about parents of the main characters going somewhere in a carriage always ended in a tragic death whenever there's a landslide.
