Well, he pretty much nonchalant to his brother since they were young. For example, he didn't shield his brother during the abuse. He started to care about his brother though it was too late. His brother was pushed to limit and 'safe haven' aka MC appeared during that moment caused him to be obsessed so much with MC.
MC knew they should hide their ability but he didn't tell his brother to hide the psychometry ability.
Some things were left open ended and the Mc nonchalance irks me. He was going to let his brother rape him because he felt sorry for him. And yes I know they were abused. Also I don't care about eugene and the brother's story
