'Study group'-- has a good story and female character that are strong. But it's ongoing.
Other comment suggested 'Viral Hit' which is good but the story kinda gets dragged out toward the second half and female characters aren't involved much. Still give it a go, the first season was really good, with an amazing villain.
Stuff like weak hero or hectopascal where a strong guy fights the bad guys @ school and has strong friendships (no female characters that can't fight, unless they family but no weird little sisters with bro-con like in mercenary enrollment)
