You're all mean

Sorry if I find it hard to like a story in which one part is being manipulated into dating someone they have no romantic interest in. My bad, didn't realize it made me mean to feel like that kind of relationship dynamic shouldn't be romanticized.

If you don't like it don't read it. Fiction if fiction and not all genres and scenarios will be liked by everyone. We all have different taste.

Also I'm refering to people that say its boring and generic and that the art looks weird. Respect the author. They work hard for their art too. That's why you're all mean.

Exactly, everyone has different tastes, and putting your work out there means opening it up to criticism. That's what the comment section exists for: for readers to express their opinions, negative or positive. I personally don't like the way the story started, but I want to read it through to the end to see if it's redeemed. I'm perfectly within my rights to express my opinions as I do that, and saying what I think doesn't make me "mean."

And to echo your own words: if you don't like it, don't read it. If you don't like the comments, don't read them. No one here is attacking the author, but expressing their criticism of the story. If anything, you're the one making personal attacks, calling people ugly.

If your being mean to the author in saying their art looks bad even though we all know they worked hard for their art and story then I can say what I want too.
I will defend the artist and their work from people calling it ugly.

I ain't even saying your criticism was bad and I ain't even talking about you but if anyone says a person's hard work ugly then they are ugly too.

Then maybe it's not a good idea to call out "you all" and declare that everyone who's judging the story is a bad person. If you make a generalizing comment, it's weird that you then walk it back and say "oh I wasn't even talking about YOU" because how was I supposed to know that? According to your first comment, I'm one of the people judging the story since I dislike the plot, so I'm mean and ugly and can't even write a single good paragraph myself.
