Why do you like shotacons in general?

This is a simple question because I am aware of the shotacon genre

why do I like shotacons? as in why do I like people who have a shota complex?

well I have a respect and fondness for artists in general but I don't think the kind of art someone makes or reads/watches/listens to is indicative of what kind of person they are. I judge people by their actions and from what I've observed shotacons like the creator of Shota Oni or like Yana Toboso or like Matsui Yusei are hardworking, creative, and decent people who have compelling bodies of work that draws others in to the worlds they create. same goes for any other shotacons who don't have massively successful titles tied to their name I guess. if they're decent people I'll probably like them. I'm not hard to please.

but my comment doesn't really have anything to do with shotacons. It was about how getting rid of the tag for a genre doesn't make it go away but instead makes it inevitable that people who don't want to see that genre will stumble across it and get upset. people should be grateful for clean, comprehensive tagging systems that allow them to customize their experience on the internet and not try to intentionally unravel them

There are about 200+ working artist out there unable to feed themselves with much much better art than fetish. They cannot reach either their audience or their proper sponsor. This person is getting a huge fan base on only shotacon which is the worst topic of all. Honestly that point wasn’t as valid, thank god the tag was taken off so light fell upon this. You’re aware right that shotacon is still weird but yk I can accept it BUT shotacon in SHOUNEN AI isn’t? How is that a valid point?

I don't understand what you mean. are you saying that shotacon artists only make shota content for the money? or that somehow by them making shota art they're to blame for other artists not being able to make a living? either way I think you are conflating feelings based reactions for reality. just bc X makes you feel bad does not mean it is responsible for all the bad things in the world. I also don't know what you mean when you imply it's a good thing that people unintentionally exposed themselves to material that may upset or possibly harm them. I don't see any benefit to that unless you are the kind of person who doesn't believe in content warnings or rating systems. there is nothing to be gained from "light" falling upon this. it's not addressing anything of consequence, it's just creating a weird environment in the comment section of a piracy website.

I apologise if I come out as such but I meant no harm. Yes although the “fighting instinct” came upon me from how many comments pulled me down for my statements because
1. Yes drawing shota content is not good. It is wrong. Since it is a fetish category, and on top of it all a very wrong fetish category, they earn a huge amount and have a strong fan base. Contrary to that, there are so many who cannot earn that way because they don’t make fetish content which doesn’t go public like this but they probably have art better than this.
2. Tags like these should not exist they’ll only help these pop out more and help the ones who want to perhaps fap off of shotas in getting such content in minutes.

I hope you understand what I meant, judging by what you wrote, I believe you didn’t understand.

I’m an artist myself and when I went into the mainstream media, I unravelled the reality. I could tell you more if you pleased, but really I need you to understand that shota content although is very bad, it’s fine if it’s not categorised in bad genres, but this particularly is so this is just not right.
