As I remember, mc is the real target..the robed man is attacking alec cuz he's protecting mc,...so mc jumping made it look like mc's gone for good so no point in fighting alec cuz mc's gone
The yeeting off the cliff was so he was out of the way and not a burden. Alec couldn't fight properly because he was too busy protecting him because MC doesn't have fighting abilities and additionally Alec was holding back to prevent MC being injured by his own powers. Plus MC knew he was gonna fall unconscious from the healing power usage so Alec would have an even harder time protecting him.
still fluffed out. also how did alec find them? i am also trying to figure out how him just yeeting himself off a cliff was helping. it was more of him saving himself and alec fighting the dude. the emotions in this are a bit weird. it is a fun story, but it needs to address some issues. one of which is that potion, the other is the odd connections. make them stronger and more interesting.
