I don't. It's a conscious decision to gamble and lose not only all their money but their loved ones' money as well. Gambling addicts are not some poor sad pitiful soul who have no other choice but to gamble and need all the help they can get to recover, they're selfish people who are weak-willed and hurt others in the process, like MC here.
Many additions are like that. The addicts hurt other people in the process. I refuse to feel sorry for someone only if they decide not to seek help but bc has no opportunity to. He's in prison and as far as we know, they're offered no mental health support
