Hi here to explain, i really couldn't bring myself to read this thing completely but I'll try to speak for myself on how it made me feel.
To me , this Manga has always felt like a personal journal . It's like i'm inside this manga. Because alot of the contents in this mangas reminds me alot of the traumatizing parts of my life which isn't a FLeX ( honestly). This manga has a lot to offer and alot of things are really hard to understand. Honestly I feel like the ultimate reason why This manga left a huge impression me is the fact that there is little to no sugar cotting done to the characters , the plot and all in all. All the characters feel real and human. There is no " well he was a sad little boy but then his friends, or this special human came into his life and fixed it all " the story is not there for the people.
This wasn't made to entertain the audience so there were alot of things that you thought may happen but it just followed a more justified and true route. stayed true to its character, plot and was just unique in itself .
It was alright idk, ig his story was interesting but idk what the whole cult thing was about, maybe I’m trippin cuz this manga is highly praised but idk it was kinda meh to me, just hoping someone could explain why this manga left such a big impression on people, not trying to start and argument but it just didn’t hit me like that maybe I just need to process it
