my theory as to why he needs to change appearance:
1. the king’s council will choose regases (what’s the plural?) that look like past Abel to control the prince, so having a different appearance will throw their game off
2. the duke and king have a thing for blonde green-eyed regases, which might give Abel some advantage
3. Abel succeeds in forming a bond in the fountain (whatever it’s called) and later takes on the appearance of the previous regas who succeeded in forming a bond (kinda like a avatar last airbender thing)
but it would be amusing if the new Abel starts bulking up and gets more muscular as the story continues (prob not, but one can only hope (▰˘◡˘▰))

Not really? In Payback the bottom is definitely not frail, far from it. The same can be said in December, he might look frail but he has endured so much sh¡t and be is still going, so definitely a strong mind and character. Abel might be looking like a twink, but I think he will still be a strong character, even if not in the body of a buff man.
Well those two is not a muscle type like Abel, but they aren't skinny sick bodies either. Don't forget Yoohan from Payback has done various odd jobs before he lose his bro and his revenge began. His body is what a man supposed has, not a frail one. Isn't he caught that eccentric photographer's eyes for having natural build muscle? Trained muscle that didn't form purposely from a gym. While Yeonwo from December didn't have that much muscle, his body isn't that frail either as he's tall and has ideal weight. So both of them Is not really the type of skinny short frail twink that Abel will be reborn as.

I didn't understand their reply either. They literally confirmed my point lol that SamK does not always make weak bottoms. The way they described both Yoohan and Yeonwo confirms that SamK has previously made strong and healthy looking bottoms (and also mentally strong too, I might add). The fact that Abel is going to be twinkified is the exception, not the norm.
I'm not wording it correctly. I mean, the author need to make the bottom frail specifically for this story so the romance can bloom. Maybe there's something that only comes from frail Regas that is not yet explained, because all those kings only have preference to twinks.
