It's because this feels a lot more real than a lot other depictions of toxic relationships where the seme is just some crazed sadist who tortures the uke.
Yoonho and Suyeon aren't intentionally hurting each other. They are both so damaged that they can't love each other the way the other needs, so they just keep repeating the same patterns of self-destruction. The characters are more developed than a lot of other manhwas, so you end up more invested than if they were just two dimensional villains.
so true on the villain part, most bls clearly show us since the first chapters who us considered a villain because either they hate the main characters or want one of them for themselves.
Yet in this manhwa, you can't really put a tag on any of them because they all experienced different upbringings and values. Sure gyeol is the "villain" here, but we still need to see what he really thinks.
i’ve read a lot of things and this should be tame compared to those but for some reason this is really fucking crazy and it’s messing with my brain like wtf like i wanna throw up yoonho needs help gyeol needs major help and their is no helping suyeon… he is so far gone i feel so bad
