For anyone lurking in the comments trying to decide whether to read this, DO IT!! The MCs aren’t toxic with each other at all, their relationship is pretty darn healthy altho it takes some time for them to be “together together” but it’s well worth the wait. There will be painful moments (war and angst bc of their duty/position) but it’s part of what makes this a great read. I still can’t get over the “cabin in the woods” arc that one was my absolute fave.
