I think that's why it was so controversial and hated back then too. I even avoided it because I thought it would be some fucked up romanization of rape and shit. I read this when I was older (21), so when I finally gave it a chance I unexpectedly fell in love with it because I've always LOVED dark stuff (it's all about the portrayal). The romanization wasn't there, and I never considered it BL from the start and was surprised people actually saw it that way.
Yup, i love how messed it up it actually is, and the author made a great effort to present mental illnesses of each character. I really wish that back then instead of attacking young teens for calling this a BL I think ppl should EDUCATE young ppl WHY it's not, unfortunately that was the first manhwa I read so it set a very weird standard for manhwas I read afterward
i first read this manhwa back when i was only 14 years old now im re reading it at almost 19, i cant fucking believe that i used to think it was fucking BL, i feel a lot of young teenagers occupy the BL community, that's why THIS was called a BL. it's so fucked messed up and i almost hate every character in a good way (except the detective ig)
