Am I dense or what?

Why is everyone saying he raped the mc when it wasn’t remotely like that at all. If the mc didn’t want it he would be more traumatised and pushed away from the ML when they were in bed. Everyone has forgotten the ML was a dick from the beginning and is very forceful.

    It was rape, point blank.

This was their first time having sex and Hamin was jumped on. His hands were bound behind his back the whole time so he couldn’t even fight back. But he kept screaming to stop. He was also driven to his limit resulting in passing out multiple times. That's why he gets mad after he wakes up again and tells Sehyuk not to contact him again until he says so.

Trauma in rape victims is a non-existent thing in the universe of bl. Otherwise most ukes wouldn’t fall in love and want to be together with rapist semes. Legit rape scenes are thrown around everywhere but realistic trauma or consequences of actions? Nope. All of it is just romanticised in a very weird way.

Of course, people are free to enjoy whatever they want. But it is rape. Some people are just disappointed that their first time didn’t need to be this way. But like it's not a surprise or anything, just disappointment haha

Well I went to reread the chapter and he never really told the ML to stop only to wait which could mean to slow down but it could interpreted any how

Also with the hands being bound that could be classified as rough sex as he wasnt tied up in any other way that could hinder his movements, besides that I’m not trying debate since I’m still trying to learn and I’m just putting my view across but I understand and appreciate what you’ve told me <3

And true his first time shouldn’t have been like that but ML is a selfish prick smh

For me, it was rape because Hamin didn't consent to having sex with Sehyuk at that moment. He was jumped and was kinda forced to go along with it. He had no other choice.

But anyways, now that we know the whole story was a part of Sehyuk's plan to make Hamin depend on him......what can we expect lmao. Atleast it's going way better now!

Imagine seeing that chapter and going "oh it's just rough sex not rape."

As the person above said, rarely is trauma of the SA victim even talked about, let alone the character showing the signs of trauma. The guy went through kidnapping, attempted murder, attempted SA by his best friend (and crush) and they didn't show him having any signs of trauma, so you, really think the author would write it down for SA? Ofc not, because then the author and the readers would be forced with the fact that there were in fact grave consequences to the actions of the male lead, that severely impacted the main character to the point he beveloped trauma from that horrific experince.

But then he (male lead) would be shown in bad light, we can't have that now can we? (sarcasam) How could be justify the main character staying if the make lead is an awful person that ibflicted long lasting pain on the main character. Readers would hate him.

I'm telling you this as an advice from the bottom of my heart, really seriously research and read up about consent, because the way you are going right now, you are closely threading a territory of victim blaming.

Read up about trauma (and danger) responses. Everyone has different respons to trauma and danger.

Read up about fight, fawn, freeze respons.

Read up about victim blaming (especially in SA victim cases) and you will see that because of that more than half of SA cases don't even get reported, let alone processed or getting justice.

Um you really need to calm down I’m not doing any type of victim blaming, where did I blame the uke?? I already understood and recognised what the other the person said and I don’t need you jumping on me and acting like I’m doing or saying anything wrong. Everyone has their own opinion when they see things and if you actually read what I wrote to them you would see I said I’m still trying to understand and learn, that I also appreciate what they’ve told me. In the end it’s really not that deep, sorry I had an opinion Lmaoo but it’s not wrong see a different side to things soo

I already understand basic consent and it can either be verbal or nonverbal, it could also be taken away mid sex too! But this side story really confused me so I wasn’t really ever going to say or blame uke for anything because i already know the seme is a huge a dick and needs to learn basic respect and to not be forceful with the uke. But we already knew this about him lol

Anyways I just woke up so have a good day

Yeah I get what you mean because if a friend (God forbid) came and told me their significant other did that I would be scared for them and call it rape but due to knowing how the seme is, I genuinely thought it was apart of his character and everything, since I binged the whole thing in one sitting I was just analysing what type of guy he was haha

And yeah he’s not really a good person clearly haha
